Google is ahead of holiday shopping to launch a series of features designed to help you get a better deal on products right from search. So you're making it easier to find promotions and coupons by introducing a new promotion badge in search that will show up when a coupon is available for a specific product, for example, "15% off with code HOLIDAYS." Discount coupons are gaining prominence on product listings displayed in search results. Not only will they be more visible, but they can also be copied with a simple click.
Already showing when items are on sale or if the price of a specific product has dropped, the goal of this new feature is to show users specific promotions and allow them to compare them with others directly in search.
Comparison of products on different platforms
Another of the new functions will allow us to compare a product on different platforms from the same search results. A dynamic that will save us from going from one platform to another looking for the best price. After this, we can go from the search results and go to the online store to see all the details of the product. For example, if you search for a women's jacket, it will show you a side-by-side comparison of women's jackets available for sale.
On the other hand, the company is bringing the price information feature, which is currently available in the Purchases tab, to Search to help shoppers understand the prices they see and make better purchasing decisions. Now, users will be able to quickly see how the price of one brand compares to others, analyzing whether it is low or high for specific products. Google's decision to bring features from its Shopping tab into search results is a welcome one, especially for people who don't want to click to another tab and prefer to browse products directly through search.
The Google team will launch these functions in the United States, although it has not yet mentioned if they will be rolled out worldwide in the coming weeks.
